Visitors can explore Great Falls' rich history through the hundreds
of memorable homes and other buildings in the area. From the legendary
Adams Stone Barn, just west of Great Falls, to
the city's historic district, which is listed on the National Register
of Historic Places, these structures allow you to glimpse Montana's storied
past.
Historic Great Falls Walking Tour
An hour-long, self-guided tour of Great Falls' historic district features
216 structures, most of which have maintained their original appearance.
Homes constructed between 1885 and 1945 make up most of the tour, with
typical architectural styles including Bungalow, Prairie, Colonial, Revival,
Queen Anne, Victorian and Second Empire. An informative brochure on the

on Upper River Road.
