Since 1977 Montana River Outfitters has provided float trips on the Missouri, Smith and other area rivers of central and western Montana. Montana River Outfitters offers several different types and styles of trips, including scenic, historic, white water, fishing, bird hunting, and horseback/float combination trips. Trips vary in length from 2 hours to 7 days.

Montana River Outfitters has added both a 34-foot voyageur canoe (16 passengers) and a 25-foot voyageur canoe (8 passengers) to our Lewis and Clark adventure possibilities.
You may also wish to explore the scenic Rivers Edge Trail with our bicycle rental program, available by the hour or by day. Or for those looking for combination adventures we have paddle and pedal trips or paddle and saddle (horseback/float trips) combinations.
Montana River Outfitters also specializes in fishing trips on the famous tailwater section of the Missouri River below Holter Dam, and the incredibly beautiful Smith River Canyon. We offer horsepack and float trips in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, the most remote wilderness area in the lower 48.

Montana River Outfitters has locations in Great Falls near the Missouri River and at Wolf Creek near Holter Dam on the Blue Ribbon section of the Missouri River. Our Great Falls retail store and warehouse is located east of the Cascade Electric building, right off 9th Street, about 1.5 blocks south of the 9th Street Bridge and Missouri River at 923 10th Avenue North. Our Wolf Creek fly shop and lodging are located right off I-15 on the recreation road, about 2.5 miles from the Missouri River. After leaving I-15 at the Wolf Creek exit, proceed east about 100 yards, crossing Prickly Pear Creek and the BN Railroad tracks, where you come to a T in the road. Turn right at the T and continue on the recreational road for about 300 yards. Our cabins, motel, fly shop and RV park are clearly signed and visible on the left side of the road.
